If you are not receiving notifications or seeing any activity in the Gate app, it may be due to an over-crowded WiFi network. If there are other routers in your area operating on the same WiFi channel, their signal could be interfering.
Gate Smart Lock utilizes the 2.4 GHz WiFi band, which has 11 channels to choose from. By default, the width of each channel is 20 MHz. The optimal way to align routers on a network without any overlap is using channels 1, 6, and 11.
To determine the most optimal channel, try one of these WiFi analysis tools below. If it shows that there are many other routers using the same channel, you may see better performance by moving to a channel with less use. Please consult your individual router’s manual for guidance on adjusting the channels.

There is no version for iOS or Mac platforms. Experiment with moving your router between channels 1,6, 11 and seeing which channel works best for you. Again, please consult your individual router’s manual for guidance on adjusting the channels.
