If your Gate app is communicating that your deadbolt is jammed, please check the following:
1. Make sure that the correct door orientation has been selected in the Gate app under Settings > Gate Settings >Door Orientation.
2. Please make sure you are using the deadbolt that your Gate was shipped with. If you have installed Gate on your door please make sure that the black shaft from the front of the lock has been installed vertically into the deadbolt while the deadbolt is in an unlocked position.
3. Activate Gate by removing the battery and placing it back on the unit.
4. Close out the Gate app and reopen it to see if that error is no longer there.
Once the above two steps have been completed please check that the lock is rotating in the correct direction by doing the following:
1. Use the back of the lock to manually turn the lock halfway between the locked and unlocked position so that the deadbolt is sticking out halfway.
2. Press the lock button on the keypad and ensure that the Gate moves the deadbolt in the correct direction.
3. Check if the keypad lights up red at all. If so, that indicates there is an installation issue.
