Motion Detection Settings

To view and change the motion detection sensitivity on your Gate Smart Lock, tap on the Settings tab, then select either the Configure icon in the top right or the option Gate Settings.

Next, select a motion sensitivity setting that best fits your environment by tapping on the appropriate setting - OFF, LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH. 

There are four sensitivity settings available for your device’s motion sensor:

• Off: Turns off the motion detector on your smart lock. Your lock with only activate if the call button is pressed or an access code is entered.
  
• Low: Detects motion within roughly 5 ft. of your smart lock. Recommended if your area has heavy foot or car traffic.
• Medium: Detects motion within roughly 15 ft. of your smart lock. Recommended for those with a large front porch or moderate front yard.

• High: Detects motion within roughly 30 ft. of your smart lock. Recommended for those with large front yards.
  
  

*Note: If your Gate app is connected to more than one Gate Smart Lock, you will need to select the desired unit using the drop-down menu at the top of your app home screen to view and update the settings for that device.
