Gate operates by connecting to WiFi. If your video feed is not appearing in your Gate app when there is motion, it is indicative of a poor WiFi connection. The WiFi connection at your door might be weaker than elsewhere in your home, especially if there is any metal on your door.

Worst lock Ive purchased. Would rather leave my door wide open then to ever use this lock again. Customer support is horribke and they do not respond. Save your money or just throw it out the window you would get more satisfaction from it
